The choice of an attorney is a critical decision, often made in a time of stress. It is very important to select someone that is going to be sympathetic to your personal needs, but also competent to achieve a successful outcome. I would like to take this time to share with you a little bit about background, my practice areas, and my approach to practicing law. Please feel free to check back with this page periodically, or contact me through it for any of your legal needs.
I was born in St. Louis, Missouri and graduated from St. Louis University School of Law in 1997. After becoming licensed in the state of Missouri, I took my first job as an Assistant City Counselor with the City of St. Louis. Some of my duties included service at Lambert St. Louis International Airport, writing legal opinions for the Airport Board as well as the Police and Fire Department’s Retirement Systems.
Later, I transferred to City Hall. While there, I was able to represent city officials, employees, police officers, and the Board of Police Commissioners in Federal Civil and State Civil suits. After nearly a decade serving the great people of the City of St. Louis, I left to form the Bouhasin Law Firm. I used my experience as a City Counselor to represent individuals in their traffic, DWI, personal injury, and workers’ compensation cases. I have helped many in the alcohol and service industry, St. Louis City Police Officers, and others from all over the St. Louis area. Lastly, I have the distinction of being a member of the St. Louis Police Officers’ Association. Helping our police officers in their time of need is a great honor.
I love representing every day citizens and this profession allows me to meet with and help those from all walks of life, which truly is my privilege. Please read below to see some of the areas in which I most commonly practice. If you have an issue that is not listed below, give me a call. We can talk in person to see how I can use my two decades of experience in the legal community to assist you in your time of need.
John A. Bouhasin,
Attorney at Law
Being injured on the job can be one of the most stressful experiences that a provider can have to face. Getting food on the table and the mortgage paid is the number one job in many peoples’ lives. If you are injured on the job, your ability to perform this necessity may be hindered. Furthermore, your employer may not be as sympathetic to your condition as he should be. That is why Workers’ Compensation was created by Missouri law. As an employee, you need someone that is going to fight to make sure that you and your family is justly compensated for the time spent away from your job and for the injuries you received. I will fight the insurance companies, who do everything in their power to settle your claim quickly, for pennies on the dollar. I will take your employer’s attorneys to task by either bringing them to the table with a just settlement, or even better, by taking the case to trial. If you have been hurt at work, please call me at (314) 832-9600 or email me at email@example.com.
Injuries are an every day occurrence in the fast paced world in which we live. Auto accidents just happen. People fall and hurt themselves due to dangerous conditions on another’s property. Medical professionals engage in negligent care on a daily basis. You need an experienced attorney to ensure that you are justly compensated for the negligence of another. I am not afraid to go to trial when preliminary negotiations break down. I have tried numerous injury cases, and won. In the event that your case goes to trial, you want someone that has the experience to fight for you. If you have been injured, please call me at (314) 832-9600 or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Traffic and DWI Law-
There are several misconceptions about the consequences of a traffic violation. Pleading guilty to a speeding ticket or other moving violation may resolve the issue immediately, but you will be assessed points to your driving record. The accumulation of points may lead to license suspension or revocation. Avoiding the citation completely will result in warrants for your arrest and a greater expense for you in the long run. If you have outstanding warrants, it is not too late to address those issues and work with the prosecutor to mitigate the fines owed and get your license back. As a municipal prosecutor and DWI defense attorney, I have extensive experience both prosecuting and defending DWI offenses. I know how to read the police report and find the errors that are commonly made during the course of your arrest. In the event that your case may not be fought, I have the requisite skills to gain the most favorable disposition possible for yourself or your loved one. If you have outstanding warrants, or have been cited with a traffic offense or DWI, please call me at (314) 832-9600 or email me at email@example.com.
THE CHOICE OF AN ATTORNEY IS AN IMPORTANT ONE AND SHOULD NOT BE BASED UPON ADVERTISEMENTS.
